What IP does exactly?
IP assists its customers in meeting their needs in terms of internet solutions described above, we also service their needs for all other types of servers for hosting data, E-Commerce solutions, and data centers in Japan, Europe and USA. In addition to the above, we offer e-security services to protect web and email applications and content as well as provide facilitation for satellite and cabled connectivity outside Mauritius.
IP was created 2 years ago to consolidate under one roof various activities, which started as far back as 1997. The group was created to grow its service provision base and its customer portfolio ranges from corporate to SME’s. The number of customers currently stands at 372 in Mauritius of which 19 are corporate and 353 are SME's which benefit from one or more of our services as described above.
IP have, in addition to the above, created other services/websites of our own which offer specific information and/or services, they are namely; Mauritius Yellow Pages (www.yellow.mu), www.maurjobs.com, www.easysite.mu, www.mauritiusadvertising.com, www.searchengine.mauritius.io, www.mauritius.io, www.i-p.mu, www.accommodation.io (the largest tourism accommodation portal for mauritius serving English speaking tourism markets such as UK, Germany, Scandinavia, South Africa and Australia) www.hotels-in-mauritius.com and www.monitoring.i-p.mu (monitoring for web site services – eg. uptime) to name a few.
Moreover, Mr. Grignon, IP's proprietor, owns in excess of 850 important web site addresses in his own name and 623 web sites are owned by IP. The fair values of these sites have an extremely high fair value to date which are realizable values.
Almost all of IP's business is continuous and incremental business, which renews itself year after year through maintenance contracts, the customer base is increasing steadily while turnover is expected to double during 2008.
IP administers/manages all the above using 72 state-of-the-art servers with 99.99% guaranteed uptime, which none of its competitors can offer in Mauritius.
IP's network has in excess of 14,000 unique visitors per day on its own network and it is growing, as its new services are known. The quality is rated as best-of-breed and our client attrition rate is extremely low, this is most probably because we are associated to the leading global services provider in our field with a 450,000+ global customer base including 493 out of the top "Fortune 500" companies.
IP is present on ALL the major search engines and is in first position on Google for the following key words i.e.
• Mauritius Hotels
• Mauritius Yellow Pages
The above generates 60-70% of our traffic and this is worth a minimum of USD $126,000 per month, depending on the keywords associated with the advertising.
We are currently looking at various strategic alliances with a view to growing the business to the next level, i.e. providing tailored services to companies involved in media and telecommunications to service their customers. We are currently in final stages of such a strategic alliance and will be in a position to offer value-added-services to the local market.
In this age where business is shifting to virtual platforms (internet/telephony) and is predominantly information based, IP is ideally positioned to structure alliances so as to enlarge the scope of business and grow revenue over the next decade. |
